Preparation of cannabis tea
Try more than one way to prepare and also fine-tune your favourite process to perfection. The amount of cannabis, the temperature of the water and the steeping time are the most important factors in the final taste. Be sure to strain the tea after preparation so that it does not become bitter. If you find the tea strong, use less tea the next time you brew it, or pour in cooler water, or leave it to infuse for a shorter time.
Preparation in a mug:
Pour 2 teaspoons of loose cannabis tea over about 250ml of about 85oC water. (let the boiled water stand for about 5 minutes). Steep for 4 minutes, strain the tea and add a few drops of hemp oil, ghee, or coconut oil. In about 5 minutes the tea is pleasantly warm and has a delicious taste.
Tip: You can make the preparation easier with a tea strainer (bamboo or stainless steel).
Preparation in a French press:
Use 5 tablespoons of loose cannabis tea for approx. 800 ml of water. Pour about 85oC water over the cannabis (about 5 minutes after boiling in the kettle) and let stand for 5 minutes. Then press the French press and pour the tea into the kettle (to avoid further steeping). Add a teaspoon of coconut or hemp oil, or a knob of butter, and in 10 minutes you have a delicious drink to lower blood pressure.
